I am so blissfully content right now here in an amazing resort on the island of Ko Lanta.

Ko Lanta is made up of several islands off the Andaman coast in southern Thailand...the largest of which is inhabited. My resort is on the very end of the last beach on the southern most tip of the island. It is so amazing here. I wanted a quiet beach, with few people and no noise or partying to spend a week at and I got it. Here there are long white sand beaches, national parks surrounding us to the back, beautiful sunny hot weather and the water is like bath water. I am staying in a resort with bungalows that are set back into the hills behind the beach with a big infinity pool looking out over the ocean. It is so beautiful here that I wish I was staying for a few weeks....or months. The small staff take such good care of the guests and themajority of them are these wonderfully flamboyant gay men that are just a blast to be around. I am sitting on the beach as I type this, with a surprisingly excellent wifi connection, soaking in the sun, listening to the waves crash and thinking about nothing else but what flavour frozen drink I will order next. Thailand is my new favourite place. I may never come home....
