Cinque Terre
I had an amazing time in Cinque Terre!
Saturday we took a hike between the 5 towns. They are interconnected by a trail along the side of the cliffs that is cut into the rocks...it was built hundreds of years ago by the farmers that originally grew vineyards there. It was scenic, beautiful and the weather was hot!
I hiked in shorts and a bikini top! It took about 5 hours to finish the hike leisurely while stopping to take pictures and take several water/gelato breaks! When I ended up in the 5th town, Montrosso, I suntanned on the beach and took the train back to Manarola. It was a great day and one of my favorites so far.
They have all these awesome foccacia bread stores in northern Italy with dozens of different types of foccacia...they cut off a piece, drizzle it with olive oil and heat it in the oven. AMAZING!
It's a good thing I am leaving Italy soon because at this rate I was going to come home 20 pounds heavier! Italy has by far been my favorite country so far ad I hope to come back one day.
